Oliver Farr beat Ashley Chesters by one stroke over a four hole play-off to win the SHUGC Open Championship held over 36 holes on the Championship Course at Hawkstone Par. Needing a birdie 3 on the final play-off hole to take the play-off into sudden death, Chesters' putt agonisingly lipped out, leaving Farr needing 2 well taken putts to take the trophy.
Leading Professional was Michael Welch from Hawkstone Park, a stroke ahead of Llanymynech's Justin Griffiths.
