Junior Handicap Stableford Quad League at The Shropshire GC Rules
Competitors must be aware of and conform to the SHUGC General Conditions applying to County Junior Tournaments (see website).
Terms of Competition & Format
a) The competition will be a Stableford Competition over 18 holes .
b) Teams will consist of four players ( boys and girls ) with the best 3 Stableford scores to count from 4. A team of 3 can enter with all scores qualifying.
c) Maximum WHS Handicap Index allowed will be 28.4 for boys and 36.4 for girls
Boys will play from the men's White tee’s. Girls will play from the ladies Red tee’s.
d) A maximum of 16 teams will be allowed to enter. Initially only one team per club will be allowed . If at the closing date we are short of 16 teams then clubs can enter another team. All clubs will be notified that additional teams may be entered, if over subscribed a ballot will take place.
e) A draw will take place to give 4 Leagues of 4. Players will play in 4 Balls, split between the clubs. This will give 4 League Winners.
f) If teams are tied the position will be decided on count back over the last 9,6,3 & 1 holes in that order for all 3 Qualifying scores.
g) A finals Day will then be organised in July, using the same format.
The Winning Team will be the Junior League winners for 2023 & represent S & H in The EG Junior Champion Club Tournament in August.
h) A player may only represent that Club which he has declared to be his/her “Home” club.(i.e. the club which administers the player’s handicap). Players may only represent one team in any one season.
i) All players must be under the age of 18 as at 1st January 2023.
j) This will be a WHS qualifying Competition. 95% Handicap allowance.
k) All players must submit a parental Consent Form on the day of the competition, however if one has already been submitted to County Boys/Girls Organiser for another competition then not necessary. Junior Organisers are asked to assist with this request.
Venue for the Competition is The Shropshire GC & played on Monday 29th May.
A meal will be included in the entry fee.
Finals day will be played on Sunday July 30th & the venue will be The Astbury GC.
All clubs must submit their teams no later than Monday 22nd May.
We will require Full Name, DOB & CDH number.
Any late changes will be permitted providing we are told on the day of the Competition at reception desk.
