Assistant Regional Coaching Manager for the EGU West Midlands Coaching Region
The English Golf Union is recruiting an Assistant Regional Coaching Manager for the EGU West Midlands Coaching Region. Ideally this is a person who is currently engaged in junior management activities in either of the County Unions included in the region (Derbyshire, Shropshire and Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire). The job entails assisting the Regional Manager, John Slater and the Regional Coach, John Cook, in successfully developing boys that have been put forward by their Counties, for full England Boys’ and furthermore Men’s selection. It is a varied and exciting assignment that requires attendance at match days (up to 5), coaching days (up to 6) and Woodhall Spa Conference and meeting days (up to 5). As is the norm with a unique assignment of this nature there is no remuneration but a very high level of satisfaction is guaranteed to the right candidate.
The successful candidate should have a background and some knowledge in coaching and golf at a high level. This person should be an experienced manager of people and progammes and a good communicator both in writing, speaking and in using modern tools of communication.
